Person taken to hospital after crash near Leicester Railway Station
A driver was taken to hospital after a crash near Leicester Railway Station. London Road in the city was closed in both directions for more than an hour following the single-vehicle crash, which was reported to police at 11.13pm last night (Thursday, November 7).
A spokeswoman for Leicestershire Police said the driver was believed to have suffered a “medical episode”. They were taken to hospital by East Midlands Ambulance Service. No further information on their condition has been disclosed.

At the time, the force urged people to avoid the area near the train station following the crash. London Road was reopened at 12.52am.
