Person taken to hospital after Sheppey crash sees motorist cut out of car
A person was taken to hospital following a crash on the Isle of Sheppey. Emergency responders took to the scene in Thomsett Way, Queenborough, shortly after 6pm yesterday (October 29).
There, two vehicles had been involved in a collision. Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb), officers from Kent Police and two fire engines attended.
A spokesperson for Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) said: “KFRS was called to reports of a crash between two vehicles on Thomsett Way, Queenborough, on the Isle of Sheppey. Two fire engines attended and crews used cutters and spreaders to remove a car door and help a motorist out of one of the vehicles.”

One person was then handed into the care of paramedics. An ambulance service spokesperson said: “Crews assessed and treated one person at the scene before taking them to Medway Maritime Hospital for further medical treatment.”
Emergency services left the scene at around 7.30pm.
