Woman on TikTok Live Is Interrupted by Sound of Possible Gunshots

A woman on TikTok live looked visibly shocked after her streaming was interrupted by the sound of possible gunshots while she was in a parked car in Buford, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta.

Brooke Dobson told Storyful that she was on TikTok live in her car in a hotel parking lot on November 10 when she heard what she believed to be the sound of shots ringing out. “My boyfriend happened to be standing by the truck when this happened, so he immediately grabbed me and we bolted to the hotel lobby for lockdown,” she told Storyful.

In a statement to Storyful, the Gwinnett County Police Department said that officers responded to reports of “potential shots being fired in the area” on Sunday evening. “A guest at one of the hotels said they heard a noise that they believed was a car backfiring. Other witnesses said it sounded like gunshots. Officers checked the area and did not locate shell casings or other signs that a gun had been fired,” police said.
