Peru Two drugs mule Michaella McCollum for Celebrity Big Brother?

Michaella McCollum has fuelled speculation that she is set to enter the Celebrity Big Brother House next week, with the Peru Two drugs mule being spotted enjoying a pampering session.

Big Brother housemates are confined to a hotel in the two days prior to entering the famous house, with Michaella seemingly taking her last opportunity to have a glam makeover in a Belfast salon before making her reality TV debut.

It was previously reported that Michaella has been desperately trying to become a celebrity, with a source telling The Sun at the time: “Michaella has made no secret of her dream to become a reality TV star.

“She’s spent the last six months trying to build up her profile and her image – and was even snapped on the beach in a very revealing swimming costume.

“It’s all part of her bid to get her name out there in the lead up to returning to our screens – this time on an entertainment show, not BBC news.”

Michaella and her friend Melissa Reid hit the headlines in August 2013 when they were imprisoned after attempting to smuggle 11kg of cocaine, worth £1.5million, to Madrid from Peru.

Michaella was released on 31 March 2016, with authorities agreeing to expel her and Melissa from the country despite there being the option to keep the two women in Peru for up to six years.

Last week, Big Brother producers confirmed that Boris Johnson’s sister Rachel will be one of the contestants to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house in the New Year, with glamour model Jess Impiatzi, India Willoughby, and Gogglebox’s Sandra Martin also speculated to take part.

Earlier this month, Channel 5 confirmed that the upcoming series of the reality show will launch with an all-female cast of stars to mark 100 years since women won the right to vote.

Celebrity Big Brother kicks off on Channel 5 on Tuesday 2 January 2018 at 9pm.
