Pete Sandiford has said he can't quit his job as a roofer even though he's on Gogglebox.

The TV star has been serving up his critiques of what's on the box for five years and is a big favourite with fans of the Channel 4 show.

But he said he still needs his day job to make enough money.

Sandiford, who appears on the programme with his sister Sophie, was asked if he would consider quitting his job, but replied: "I have got to pay my mortgage somehow."

The TV personality joined Gogglebox in 2017.

When he’s not on the sofa or working, he is a busy married dad of one.

The star tied the knot with his partner Paige Yeomans in May 2021 and the same year they welcomed their baby boy, Jimmy.

Sandiford keeps his private life to himself and hasn’t shared Jimmy’s birth date.

However, he did previously reveal that Jimmy is a “cool little lad” and that he takes after his mum rather than his dad.

“It's a bit overwhelming, got it all going on at the moment!" he told The Mirror in September.

It is not known how much Gogglebox cast members are paid, although in 2016 The Sun reported that families get around £1,500 a month.
