Pete Wicks admits he 'still can't believe' his Strictly result
The star got further in the BBC show than he had thought possible
What did you miss?
Pete Wicks has admitted he "still can't believe" that he made it all the way to the Strictly semi-final.
The Towie star had made it clear that dancing wasn't his forte when he signed up for the BBC show, but he and his pro partner Jowita Przystal made it all the way to the semis. They narrowly missed out on a spot in the final after losing out to Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec in the dance-off at the weekend.
However, the reality star said it was "wild" that he'd made it as far as he did.
What, how and why?
Wicks appeared on spin-off show It Takes Two on Monday, 9 December following his elimination, and host Fleur East asked what he'd have said in week one if he'd been told he would make it so far in the competition.
He replied: "Don't be so ridiculous!"
"I still can't believe that I managed to get there," he went on, "Wild, wild."
Wicks said his final week on Strictly was actually the "most relaxed" he'd had.
He went on: "From week one, going from just worrying about trying to get the steps right and I think even on the weeks where I made mistakes it's because I was trying too hard and not just dancing.
"And then I think that's why Saturday night was probably my favourite night of the whole thing because both dances, I felt like I was dancing. Not just trying to do what I have been told to do."

What else did Pete Wicks say on It Takes Two?
Wicks also told how some of the outfits he wore during his time on the dancefloor "will haunt me for the rest of my life", citing his loincloth and his pink Latex trousers.
He added of his Strictly journey: "When you are kind of in it you don't get the chance to reflect on some of the stuff you've done and some of them kind of weeks, they were tough, they were really really tough.
"But one thing we never did was give up.
"One thing that I said at the beginning of this was that I was going to take this seriously but not take myself seriously and I think that's what I tried to do throughout and... Do you know what, I am proud of what we did, I am proud of what we did."
It Takes Two airs on BBC One on weekdays at 6.30pm.
