Pete and Emily welcome their second child Theo last month, and have told OK! Magazine that the the whole experience was “traumatic.”

Theo had to be delivered three weeks early because he was breech, with Emily undergoing a series of injections to help the baby’s lungs develop ahead of her due date.

“I went to hospital and they tried to turn him from the outside, which was quite painful, but I didn’t want a C-section so I had to get through it,” she explained.

“They tried three times [to turn him] but he kept flipping back around. I felt robbed of having a natural birth but at least he’s healthy.”

“Then, after being a good size, I was told his weight had dropped right down. I was really worried so we went straight down to Taunton on November 14 to stay with my parents. By then I was having Braxton Hicks all the time.”

The latest addition to the Andre family arrived on 22 November at Musgrove Hospital in Tanton, close to where Emily’s family lives. The Aussie singer admitted he was overcome with emotion when the baby arrived, and the couple were in floods of tears.

“Ems was besotted instantly,” he gushed. “She was crying saying to the baby: ‘I’m so in love with you!’
“I was thinking. ‘God. This has been so traumatic!’

“I was bawling my eyes out at the birth – it was my dream to have another boy. I love him so much, he’s such a chilled baby. He’s my mini-me.”
