Peter Andre Bans Children Princess And Junior From Using Social Media Around Him

Last month, Katie Price sparked controversy when she advertised her children’s public Instagram profiles to her millions of followers.

The former glamour model explained that 11-year-old Junior and nine-year-old Princess had been “bugging her” for years about joining social media and she allowed them to create an account for business purposes.

However, their dad - Peter Andre - has been left less than impressed by the move, admitting that he has banned his children from using social media around him.

Writing in his column for New! magazine, Peter explained: “I have been asked how I feel about my kids having Instagram accounts. Everyone knows I don’t allow them to have phones or social media at my house.

"I don’t like kids having them because I think it opens them up to all sorts of issues.”

Still, Peter was careful not to slag off his ex-wife Katie, quickly adding: “As a parent you have to compromise with the other parent and try to work together. I can only advise and encourage them - I can’t do any more than that.”

Katie previously defended her controversial move during an appearance on Loose Women, insisting that she advertised the children’s accounts because it helps them get booked for work.

She said at the time: “My kids have been brought up in the industry with their dad and me on TV shows, everyone knows who they are.

"Now they are being booked themselves for TV shows, modelling jobs and stuff like that. Social media is the future - it’s a business thing.”

Since launching their pages just two weeks ago Junior has racked up 24.8k followers and Princess 26.8k.
