Peter Andre has raised eyebrows after he demanded a 401-item strong rider and £30,000 fee for a 45-minute Slimming World gig, it has been reported.
The star apparently requested a variety of quality alcohol, home-cooked, three-course meals, and jars of manuka honey.
According to The Mirror, Peter demanded Johnnie Walker Blue Label whisky, “quality white wine” – that did not include Chardonnay, Chablis, Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc, and vegetarian, red meat and white meat three-course meal options for his entire crew, which came to £45 a head.
An insider told the publication: “It was the most ridiculous amount of requests. It’s as if he thinks he’s part of the Rolling Stones.
“Most of what was requested wasn’t even used.”
The event was at Birmingham’s International Convention Centre on 4 November, with the 44-year-old star regularly appearing at Slimming World events in the past.
A separate source close to Peter defended the father-of-four’s rider, explaining: “Peter, his dancers and band were on the road from 6am and returned home past midnight. The rider covered a full day but several items were not even supplied.
“Peter presented the show, did over 800 meet-and-greets and a performance. He was booked for 45 minutes and actually did one hour and 10 minutes.”
Other items on Peter’s alleged list include a jar of chopped ginger, Cadbury chocolate bars, chewing gum, bottles of Bacardi 8, Jack Daniels, “quality” beer and red and white wine, and 15 medium-size black or navy hand towels.
Earlier this year, Peter faced backlash when it was reported that he had been paid “thousands” to busk for 15 minutes in a charity fundraiser, which raised just £260.
Peter later defended his fee, which came from building society Nationwide, insisting that he had paid a “substantial” sum to the charity.
