Peter Andre makes major 'exciting' announcements and he 'cannot wait'
Peter Andre just dropped a series of major bombshells. Not only is he back in the studio working on new tunes nearly 30 years post 'Mysterious Girl', but he's also bagged the lead role in an upcoming Channel 5 drama.
In his latest column with OK! Magazine, the beloved pop star shared his excitement about the project, telling fans he "can't wait to get stuck in".
Delighted to get back stuck into his career, Peter shared: "I've got a part in a new Channel 5 drama as one of the lead characters, which I’m excited about. I can’t reveal the name of it just yet or give much away, but I start filming next month and can’t wait to get stuck in. Watch this space!"

And in his column he added: "I’ve been talking about new music for so long but I’m happy to announce that I’m finally working on an album. Next year will be 30 years since the release of Mysterious Girl, so the album is to mark that milestone and will be followed by a tour – I’m really looking forward to it. I can’t believe it’s been 30 years.
"I still get sent messages from people all around the world listening to Mysterious Girl – it’s got such magic to it. It’s very rarely I say, “This will be a hit”, but I remember listening to this song and just knowing."
The father of five was last spotted on holiday with his family, as revealed by The Mirror, the star, named his holiday home in Larnaca in Cyprus 'Villa Amelia' after his 10-year-old daughter with wife Taunton-born NHS doctor Emily, 35.
Andre is also no stranger to the acting world. He's taken on roles such as Vince Fontaine and Teen Angel in the stage adaptation of Grease last year, and has also appeared in Thriller Live, along with various TV shows and films.
He lent his voice to Ace in Thomas and Friends: Big World, Big Adventures! last year, and starred as Donnie in the 2023 film SnapCatch, which featured his son Junior Andre and former Hollyoaks actress Niamh Blackshaw, who was recently cast in the BBC's Waterloo Road.
