He’s had 47 years to make sure he knows his own birthday, but Peter Andre has recently discovered that he might have the date wrong after all.

The singer and TV star shared some shock news with fans on Instagram - his birthday actually appears to be seven months later than he’d spent his whole life thinking it was.

Andre celebrates his birthday on 27 February, but he posted photos to Instagram of a find that had shaken him to his core - his childhood passport says that he should actually have been getting the candles out on 27 September instead.

Posting pictures of the old document that includes a photo of him as a child and the different date, he wrote: “Erm for 47 years I thought I was born on 27th February. What is going on.......? How old am I? Who am I?

“This is my old passport when I was supposedly 9 years old. Was I 10? Was I fifteen? Am I 103 right now?”

The dad-of-four then posted a zoomed in snap of the passport photo captioned: “Me at 9..... supposedly????

“Check my previous post.”

His passport lists his place of birth as London, England, but his residence as Australia as the family moved from Harrow to Sydney when he was nine - the age at which the surprising passport was issued.

Andre, who now lives in the UK again with his wife Emily, recently posted a house tour of their mansion on YouTube showing off their luxury home and Christmas decorations.

His ex-wife Katie Price spoke last month about the couple’s “proper love story” after meeting on the 2004 series of I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!.

Talking about the romance on a lookback show at 20 years of the contest, she said: "It was a proper love story and I think me and Pete are the only ones who had kids come out of it.

"I was 23, I had no idea I'd go into the jungle and meet my husband."
