Peter Andre warns fans to be vigilant of meet and greet scams
Peter Andre has warned his fans that scammers are attempting to use his likeness on social media to dupe his followers out of thousands of pounds.
The Mysterious Girl singer said he has been made aware that scammers are getting in touch with his fans and offering exclusive meet and greets for money.
He used his regular column in new! magazine to advise anyone who receives contact from fraudsters to report it.

Andre revealed he was made aware of the scam when one of his followers got in touch after receiving a friend request, apparently from the 46-year-old pop star, on Facebook.
He said: “Then another got in touch to say the people pretending to be me tried to get thousands of pounds out of her. They’ve also been messaging people saying I’m going to be at a certain place at a certain time when I’m not.
“This has not turned into an investigation, so if you receive a message on Facebook Messenger, Instagram or Twitter asking for any kind of money or bank details, please do not reply – report it.”
Andre found himself in the firing line earlier this week when his ex-wife Katie Price declared she was “cheesed off” with him, during an appearance on Good Morning Britain.
Price, 40, claimed Andre had refused permission for their children – 13-year-old Junior and 11-year-old Princess – to be filmed for a reality TV show.

She said: “When people are watching my show, they’re going to think, ‘where’s Junior and Princess?’ He won’t allow me to film them, he won’t allow me to do photoshoots of them, and he’s being such a hypocrite.
“Unfortunately, these days, you need both parents’ permission.
“So I just want to put it out there that he’s really selfish and the kids miss out on it. I don’t know why he’s doing it.”
Andre and Price divorced in 2009 after four years of marriage.
