Peter Kay's hilarious message to Paddy McGuinness as he takes on Children in Need challenge
Today, Radio 2 presenter Paddy McGuinness set off early, at 6.45am, from Ecclefechan on Day 4 of Radio 2’s Ultra Endurance Cycle Challenge for BBC Children in Need.
He’s attempting to cycle almost 300 miles from Wrexham AFC to Glasgow on a Raleigh Chopper, and people have been lining the streets along the way and it’s really spurring him on!
Today will be his toughest yet as he's set to cycle 64 miles across 12 hours to Strathaven, where he will be allowed a few hours rest, before yet another early start on the final day.
In a bid to cheer him on, Radio 2 host Zoe Ball surprised Paddy with a message from close pal Pete Kay. Zoe began: "We've had a message from a dear friend of yours Paddy."

"Don't know where you're going, got no way of knowing," sang Peter. "Cycling on the road to nowhere.
"Somewhere actually! Hello Patrick my old pal. Keep pedalling, keep thinking about all those children you're helping my riding that Chopper. A Chopper?! What were you thinking?
"You didn't even have a Chopper when we were at school. I love you, I'm proud of you son. You can do it, get across that finish line and get yourself a nice garlic bread."
Paddy replied: "Oh that's lovely Zoe, thank you!"
Later on her show, Zoe gave an update how Paddy's progress and told him that the total donated so far is £3,348,481.
A delighted and shocked Paddy said: “We’re just starting the day off and we’re over £3 million... Wow, I keep saying this because it’s the strangest thing, I’m absolutely in bits physically and emotionally but I will miss this, I will miss this positivity, this feeling of love that everyone’s getting behind Children in Need.
"Oh I love it, I love it so much... Do you know, we’ve got all day to go, the people in Scotland are amazing already, the people all across the rest of the country are still donating and I want who’s anyone in Scotland, tomorrow, and we are going to get to Glasgow, by hook or by crook, I’ll drag the bike and walk if I have to. I want as many in Glasgow because together people, all involved in this, you will leave a better person, you’ll feel that love. Come along tomorrow in Glasgow and let’s go out in style!"
