Perry Mason season 2 has announced a swathe of new cast members, including NCIS' Peter Mendoza and BMF's Jon Chaffin.
The HBO show, which revives the famed defence lawyer character and is produced by Marvel's Robert Downey Jr, has also confirmed Fantastic Beasts' Katherine Waterston as part of the new additions.
Hope Davis (Your Honor), Fabrizio Guido (Welcome to the Family), Onahoua Rodriguez (Veronica Mars) and Jee Young Han (Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist) are also on board in recurring roles, while Diarra Kilpatrick has been upped to series regular.

Mendoza will take on the role of Mateo Gallardo, who faces the possibility of execution after being accused of murder, while Chaffin plays Morris, Clara Drake's (Kilpatrick) brother.
In season two, set a few months after season one at the height of the Great Depression, Perry (Matthew Rhys) moves away from the farm, while he and Della (Juliet Rylance) have pushed the firm on a safe path pursuing civil cases instead of criminal cases ones.
However, Paul (Chris Chalk) is out on his own as there is not much work in wills and contracts, and an open-and-closed case takes over Los Angeles, with Perry's pursuit of justice exposing that not everything is as it seems.

Perry Mason made its debut in summer 2020, and was soon renewed for a second outing despite being designed as a limited series.
"It has been an exciting journey to work with the immensely talented team behind Perry Mason," HBO's Executive Vice President of Programming, Francesca Orsi, said at the time.
"Viewers have relished being transported back in time to 1930's Los Angeles each week, and we are thrilled to welcome the show back for a second season."
Perry Mason airs on Sky Atlantic and NOW in the UK and HBO in the US.
