James Corden is a lot fuzzier than usual in the cute first trailer for the Peter Rabbit movie.

The Late Late Show host is his typical wise-cracking self, only as a pantsless bunny, in this adaptation of Beatrix Potter's classic literary series. Watch the teaser below:

All we can say after watching Peter Rabbit's animal shindig is that we feel awful for poor Mr. McGregor! Domhnall Gleeson is going to have to spend all weekend trying to pluck those carrots out of the ceiling.

Along with the trailer, an official synopsis has been released: "Peter Rabbit, the mischievous and adventurous hero who has captivated generations of readers, now takes on the starring role of his own irreverent, contemporary comedy with attitude.

"In the film, Peter's feud with Mr. McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson) escalates to greater heights than ever before as they rival for the affections of the warm-hearted animal lover who lives next door (Rose Byrne). James Corden voices the character of Peter with playful spirit and wild charm."

Beatrix Potter's stories have been adapted by Will Gluck, the filmmaker behind the remake of Annie and Justin Timberlake's decidedly-adult sex comedy Friends with Benefits.

His voice cast includes a trio of impressive actresses: Suicide Squad's Margot Robbie, Star Wars hero Daisy Ridley and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 baddie Elizabeth Debicki.

Peter Rabbit will hop into cinemas on March 16, 2018 in the UK and on February 9, 2018 in the US.
