The Big Brother contestants were given a firm talking to in Monday night’s episode but it wasn’t enough to calm viewers’ rage over the fighting in the Borehamwood bungalow.

The housemates were gathered in the living area where they were told many of them had behaved “unacceptably”.

Big Brother said: “This is Big Brother. Housemates, Big Brother needs to speak to you all about what happened last night. The behaviour of several housemates was unacceptable. Many housemates failed to listen to Big Brother when Big Brother gave clear instructions.

“It is crucial that housemates listen to Big Brother, especially in heated situations. In those events, there is no question that Big Brother’s only concern is to diffuse the situation and protect housemates. Big Brother must be able to separate housemates over the tannoy and ensure their safety.

“There were other incidents of unacceptable behaviour. More than one housemate threw objects, more than one housemate squared up to another housemate or housemates. You are all aware that provocation is not a complete excuse in these situations. You must all control your own behaviour.”

However, the fact that Lotan was booted out whilst Chanelle was allowed to stay in the house after she smashed her glass on the floor following their on Sunday, despite being given a final warning last week, enraged viewers.

Big Brother called her to the Diary Room to reprimand her, saying: “Last night, after Lotan had thrown his drink across the room… you reacted by forcefully throwing you plastic glass onto the floor, resulting in it breaking.

“Chanelle, you have already had a formal and final warning for you aggressive behaviour. Here, your actions contributed to an already tense situation.”

Fans of the Channel 5 show expressed their anger at the situation on Twitter, with one insisting: “Chanelle should be kicked out! Big Brother’s biased.”

“Still don’t understand how everyone is getting kicked out of Big Brother yet that lunatic Chanelle is still in there.”

Another raged: “Big Brother complete bottle jobs. Chanelle has had multiple warnings and still hasn’t been kicked out. Disgusting. Get her gone public.”

Now, nearly 500 people have called for the show to be axed, after viewer Gary Lack-Jones set up a petition on change.org calling for the Channel 5 reality show to be canned.

What’s more, the show’s figures are crashing with less than one million people tuning in per episode. Whilst over on ITV2, reality show Love Island has peaked at 1.61million viewers.
