PGA Tour, BetMGM agree to betting partnership

The PGA Tour and BetMGM signed a multi-year content and marketing deal announced Monday that makes BetMGM an official betting operator of the PGA Tour. The Tour announced a deal with DraftKings last week.

BetMGM can now use the PGA Tour marks and advertise within its media and partner platforms. It also has content and video rights to make pre-game and post-game betting programming and distribute highlights on its own sites.

Norb Gambuzza, the PGA Tour’s senior vice president of media and gaming, said in a statement:

“BetMGM is part of a premium brand that is deeply connected to golf through sponsorship of various PGA TOUR players and tournaments. Through the power of the BetMGM brand and resources, this new relationship will help accelerate our sports betting strategy, and enable the TOUR to reach new fans and further engage current fans who enjoy betting on golf.”

The BetMGM mobile app offers up-to-date betting odds, offers and betting formats. It’s currently available for sports betting in Colorado, Indiana, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, Nevada and West Virginia.

Per the statement, the PGA Tour is one of the most popular offerings for BetMGM. Matt Prevost, the company’s chief marketing officer, said in a statement the deal with “not only advance the Tour’s position at the forefront of professional sports, but the entire betting industry as well.”

BetMGM already sponsors tour professionals Max Homa, Jimmy Walker, Kevin Na, Pat Perez, Ryan Moore, Joel Dahmen and Boo Weekley.
