Philadelphia Mayor Sparks Confusion After Appearing to Name Harris’s VP Pick
Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker caused confusion on August 2, after releasing an ad that suggested presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris had selected her running mate.
In a video shared on social media, Parker implied Pennsylvania Gov Josh Shapiro had joined the Democratic ticket.
“Proud to be back with so many leaders from across our region supporting @KamalaHarris for President and @JoshShapiroPA for VP!” her post on X read.
Harris had not yet officially announced her running mate. Shapiro is among those believed to be on Harris
