In a possible attempt to avoid one another as their rumoured feud continues, both Phillip Schofield and Amanda Holden skipped the ITV summer party on Wednesday 17 July.

The This Morning presenter - who has just kicked off his two-month summer break from the show - unexpectedly opted to miss the celebrations at the NOBU Hotel in Shoreditch.

Although, it would have been unlikely for him to have run-in to Holden anyway, as she’s currently holidaying in Zante, Greece with her two daughters and husband, Chris Hughes.

Schofield’s co-host and close pal Holly Willoughby didn’t attend the event either, leaving it up to the likes of Rochelle Humes and Piers Morgan to fill up the star-studded roster.

Other celebrity guests included Keith Lemon, The Only Way is Essex stars Ferne McCann and Sam Faiers, I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! finalist Emily Atack and Love Island’s Megan Barton Hanson, Wes Nelson, Lucie Donlan, Arabella Chi and Amy Hart.

Loose Women presenters Jane Moore and Nadia Sawalha also showed up, as did X Factor mentors Ayda and Robbie Williams.

Schofield and Holden’s alleged rift reportedly began in October last year, when the latter was told by an insider at This Morning that the former had “heavily influenced” producers to hire Humes as Willoughby’s replacement while she was working on I’m A Celeb in Australia.

“Amanda was so excited when she learnt she had secured the role,” a source told The Sun at the time. "She is ITV’s golden girl and has always been a firm favourite.

“She’s an experienced co-host and has filled in on the sofa on many occasions, including alongside Phil. So she was shocked when she was taken out to lunch by ITV executives who told her that unfortunately they couldn’t follow through with the offer.

After landing a regular breakfast show gig on Heart earlier this year, Holden appeared to reignite the quarrel when she compared him to a household pest on air.

Since then, several famous faces have come out in support of the television personalities, with Holden’s fellow Britain’s Got Talent judges Morgan and Simon Cowell backing her and celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo defending Schofield.
