Phillip Schofield will 'never' work for ITV again amid I'm A Celebrity rumours
Phillip Schofield says he’d NEVER work for ITV again. The ITV star has spoken out discussing his potential return to ITV, amid claims he could star on the forthcoming series of ITV I'm A Celebrity in the Australian jungle later this year.
Phillip, 62, opened up about his career prospects for Cast Away on Channel 5. Ruling out a return to ITV, the former This Morning host said: “I’m apparently four to one to do the other jungle programme (ITV’s I’m A Celebrity)."
During the show, he says: "I've been cast away on a desert island completely on my own. All I have is camera gear and I can say whatever I want about whatever I want. It's my chance to tell my side of my story."

Phillip adds: "I know what I did was unwise. But is it enough to absolutely destroy someone?" Schofield said he had been “cancelled” after his exit from ITV and the ensuing public backlash over the affair, which was revealed last spring, causing his exit.
Describing the period afterwards, he said to cameras from Channel 5: “It is like the biggest grenade going off in your life and you know you let people down, you know you’ve let yourself down, it was an unwise and unprofessional thing to do.
“I will be forever sorry. You know, I screwed up. I made a mistake and I hurt the people around me.” Mark Borkowski, a crisis PR consultant and author, said: “This was a spectacular career collapse sparked by a serious HR violation, an abuse of power and a betrayal of his inner circle, not to mention millions of viewers who saw one man and realised he was another.”
Writing for the Guardian, Borkowski said the show was “clearly designed to propel Schofield into a redemption arc” and that he must “put in the performance of a lifetime” to pull it off.
