Phoenix Nights star Paddy McGuinness says "everyone is up" for a reboot.

The Take Me Out host played doorman Paddy O'Shea in the Channel 4 series which ran from 2001 to 2002 and followed the club owner Brian Potter (Peter Kay) on his mission to turn the Phoenix Club into the best working men's club in Greater Manchester.

Despite only running for two seasons, speaking recently, Paddy raised hopes that the cast of the comedy could reunite by admitting "there's always talk about doing another" and that "everyone is up for it".

So, what are we waiting for?

"There's always talk about doing another one," Paddy told the Daily Star.

"It's just time, it's just getting everyone together. But everyone is up for it."

His comments follow Phoenix Nights creator and star Peter Kay recently announcing a series of big screen events to celebrate the 19th birthday of Phoenix Nights and to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

They also follow Paddy and Peter taking part in a Phoenix Nights spin-off series following bouncers Max (Kay) and Paddy (McGuinness) and their road to nowhere in 2004.

We'd settle for a revival of that, too.
