A photo of the moment staff at a coffee shop in America consoled a customer whose husband had just died has gone viral.

The picture shows at least three staff members at Dutch Bros in Vancouver, Washington, praying with the recently widowed woman after they noticed she was upset.

The woman’s husband had died just the day before.

The touching photo was taken by the customer next in line at the drive-thru, Barbara Danner who then posted the image onto Facebook.

“Turns out the young lady in line ahead of us lost her 37-year-old husband last night,” wrote Danner.

“When the DB guys & gals noticed she was falling apart, they stopped everything and prayed with her for several minutes, invited her to come back for prayer and support, as well as anything else that she might need.”

The image, posted earlier this week, has gone viral with almost 89,000 shares and 269,000 likes.

One of the staff members published said he was not religious but just wanted to help the distraught woman.

“She could have said she wanted an apple, and I would have gone and planted a tree and grown her an apple,” said Evan Freeman, 21, talking to Oregon Live.

“It just happened to be religion that she wanted.”
