Photographer Andres Kudacki was born in Argentina in 1974 but has been based in New York since 2015 after living in Spain, Sweden, Denmark, and the United Kingdom. He began working with the Associated Press in 2008, and his work has appeared worldwide in publications like Time, the Washington Post, the New York Times, the Guardian, the Los Angeles Times, and many others.
In 2014, Picture of the Year International awarded him third place for an Issue Reporting Picture Story for his work on Spain’s housing crisis. He was also given a second-place Istanbul Photo Award; was first finalist for the Luis Valtuena Award; won four Atlanta Seminar awards; earned an honorable mention in the NPPA’s Best of Photojournalism Awards 2014 and second place in NPPA’s 2016 awards; took second place in the China International Press Photo Contest 2016; and was a finalist for the National Association of Iconographers Awards, to mention just a few honors.
