Bills signed by Winston Churchill, Franklin Roosevelt and Joseph Stalin is collected in a Short Snorter from the Secret Mission by Roosevelt from 1943, owned by Sanford Fox, an American crew member who flew with President Roosevelt to Iran. A "Short Snorter" is a collection of foreign bills signed by dignitaries used for a drinking game. If a crew member visited a foreign club they were obligated to buy a round of drinks if they did not have a bill signed from the host country. The more bills they owned, the cheaper their trip was. Mr Fox collected the signed bills by the "Big Three" during the Tehran Conference in 1943. The book is currently being sold for $1m (hedwards48/Ebay)

A bounced cheque belonging to former Prime Minister Gordon Brown was placed on Ebay shortly before the 2010 election. The former Chancellor of the Exchequer wrote the cheque for £3 to pay his rent at Edinburgh University - but it bounced. Bill Paterson, warden of Brown's halls of residence and the owner of the item said it was only time anyone had given him a bounced cheque. It was sold on Ebay for £2,750 (Daniel Deme/WENN.com)
