Flora Day Celebrations Take Place In Helston

HELSTON, ENGLAND - MAY 08: A performer with the Hal-an-Tow pageant takes part in a performance as part of the Helston Flora Day celebrations on May 8, 2012 in Helston, England. As part of Helston Flora Day celebrations, couples take part in the Early Morning Dance at 7am; the first in a series throughout the day which go all over the town and even in and out of private houses and shops. However the highlight is the midday dance which was traditionally the dance of the gentry in the town and is why men still wear top hats and tails while the women dance in their finest dresses.
