Hobbit world premiere: Wellington goes wild for hometown boy's latest blockbuster

Movie fans in New Zealand's capital city Wellington have turned out in their thousands to line the red carpet for 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' world premiere. It's the first film of the trilogy, made by Wellington-born director Peter Jackson,which altogether cost $500m (£312m) to make and was filmed in New Zealand. More than 100,000 turned out for the premiere, with some camping overnight to secure spots close to the 500m-long red carpet.
