Freak spring weather has left parts of Scotland and the north of England under a blanket of snow - leaving 3,000 homes without power and roads closed. The snowfall comes just a week after the mercury rose to a record-breaking 23.6C in Aboyne, Aberdeenshire. A snow warning has been issued as wintry showers are set to move south across the UK on Tuesday.
