The news of Margaret Thatcher's death was met with celebration and glee for some. Hundreds attended impromtu street parties arranged on social media networks in Brixton, Glasgow and Bristol, among others. Revelers chanted ‘so long, the witch is dead’, danced and drank. In Brixton and Bristol the parties turned sour as people smashed in shop window, set bins alight and hurled missiles at police - injuring six officers.
