Giant 48,000-Tonne ‘Viking’ Cruise Ship Becomes Biggest To Be Christened In The UK

A luxury cruise ship that boasts three swimming pools and its very own snow grotto has made its way into London for its naming ceremony on Thursday.

The stunning Scandinavian vessel - that is as long as two football pitches and weighs a staggering 47,800 tonnes - made its way past some of the most famous London landmarks along the Thames.

The Viking Sea will now be christened on the world-famous river before it starts welcoming passengers as it sails around Scandinavia, the Baltics and the Mediterranean.
