US Presidential Election 2012: Americans go to the polls

With the American election too close to call, millions of voters will flock to polls today to choose their candidate.
Polls in many states, including battleground areas Florida and Ohio have already opened.
The first result was a tie.  A small hamlet in New Hampshire, which opened voting shortly after midnight, announced five votes each for Obama and Romney.
More than 30 million votes had already been cast before Tuesday's polls opened.  In the 2008 presidential election, more than 130 million people voted.
Polls put Obama just ahead of Romney, but it will be a tight race to determine the winner.
