Brad Kella has made a promise to fans as he was treated to a ‘memorable’ day. Brad’s story was shared on Channel 4’s The Piano earlier this year.

Brad grew up in care with his twin brother and admitted they were roaming the streets “causing mayhem”. However, they were taken in by foster parents Ev and Frank aged seven, which turned out to be a “life-changing” moment for him.

The 22 year-old from Fazakerley was first seen performing in Lime Street Station as part of The Piano series. He impressed judges Mika and Lang Lang so much he was granted a place in the finale, where he was awarded performance of the night.

Over the course of the show, Brad’s love for Liverpool FC was visible, with photos of him smiling in a Liverpool scarf as a child shown in several scenes.

Brad played at the opening of the revamped LFC museum in June and met the club’s top goal scorer Ian Rush. On Friday evening, he unveiled a new song of his called Home to Me, which was released on the club’s social media channels.

In the video, Brad shared his feelings about the club, its links to music and the city generally. He said: “LFC means the absolute world to me.

“I think it’s the best thing in the world to say I come from Liverpool. It’s full of amazing people. They always support their own.

"Anfield is a beacon in our city. It stands proud above everything else. Being a Liverpool supporter, I’m proud to say that’s our stadium.

“My foster parent Frank took me to Anfield. It took my breath away. Ever since then, I started going deeper into the history. There was nothing more in the world I used to love than watching those 90 minutes.”

Brad said You’ll Never Walk Alone was of particular importance to him. He said: “I've been in a few dark places in my life and heard that piece of music. I know I can get through something.

“They’re powerful words. They stay with people for a long time. People can look at it (football) and say it's a few men kicking a ball, but for me it’s everything.

“It’s what I look forward to. It's the most amazing feeling in the world. I used to watch it when I was a little boy. I still have the same feeling now in my stomach watching it now as a grown man.”

Later on his Instagram, Brad said: “Thank you so much @liverpoolfc. So proud of how this turned out, doesn’t seem real that my music is being used in amazing ways like this. The next few months are going to be so exciting and I can’t wait for it all!”

Brad was given hospitality tickets to the first match of the season at Anfield yesterday, where the reds beat Bournemouth 2-0 thanks to goals from Luis Diaz and Mohammed Salah.

Brad was there with friends and family, including his step-dad Frank. On his Instagram story, he said: “I've been invited to Liverpool Football club today to watch the game in the legends lounge. It's going to be a boss, memorable day. It's exciting.”

While in the lounge, Brad met legendary winger and midfielder John Barnes, as well as fellow Liverpool fans Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett and England cricketer Moeen Ali. In recent months, Brad said a live gig in Liverpool and a release of his music on Spotify could both happen later this year.
