Londoners faced rush hour travel chaos this morning after signal and track failures hit three key lines.

The Piccadilly line was closed completely and the district line was partly suspended, sparking mass delays on the Underground on Tuesday morning.

The Overground also came to a grinding halt between the busy Liverpool Street and Hackney Downs due to a signalling failure.

Furious commuters took to social media, venting their outrage after the three major lines were left crippled by track and signal failures.
