Pickpocket swipes cash from elderly man as police issue CCTV appeal
Police are hunting a pickpocket who swiped cash from an elderly man. A CCTV image of a man police want to speak to has now been released.
Officers say an elderly couple who withdrew cash from a bank were targeted soon after they left. The incident is said to have happened on December 11 in broad daylight.
Now North Wales Police has issued details about the theft and an appeal for information. A spokesman said the elderly couple went to Nationwide bank on Regent Street and withdrew cash on Wednesday, December 11 at 3.35pm.

As the couple walked down Duke Street shortly before 3.45pm, a man stole the cash from his pocket, before running towards Egerton Street, past McDonald’s, along Hill Street and through Island Green. PC Kat Wright is appealing to anyone who might recognise the suspect pictured to contact her.
She said: “I appreciate the image isn’t very clear, but I am appealing to anyone who might recognise this person to get in touch. I am also asking anyone with information, or anyone who witnessed the incident and hasn’t already spoken to police, to contact us using the information below, quoting reference number 240001042241.”
