On an expedition in the Russian Arctic, Dmitry Kokh spotted something moving around an abandoned 1930s weather station.

As he got closer, he discovered the new inhabitants of the derelict buildings were in fact polar bears, which are not usually seen in the area.

The weather station on Kolyuchin Island in the Chukchi Sea was built in 1934 and abandoned in 1992.
