Dozens of Glaswegians gathered at George Square yesterday to protest for improved road conditions.

The 'Potholes Make Glasgow' demonstration was organised by a large online group, aiming to draw attention to the quality of the roads in and around the city.

Many showed up with signs such as "Cars fit for roads, roads not fit for cars" and "Fuel duty, VED, VAT. We pay you loads, now fix the roads".

The crowd was in front of the City Chambers on Saturday morning hoping to force Glasgow City Council to improve driving conditions.

Here are some pictures of the event, taken by Glasgow Times photographer Gordon Terris.
