Pictures show scale of fire at caravan park in Flintshire
Images have shown the scale of the fire at a caravan park in Flintshire, last night (Friday). Firefighters battled the blaze overnight as police urged people to avoid the area. It broke out in Queensferry shortly before 8.15pm.
A North Wales Police statement last night (Friday) said: "Due to an ongoing fire near the A494 Queensferry/ entrance to Riverside way, please avoid the area and close all doors and windows due to smoke."
Photos have shown the scale of the blaze, with reports of up to 10 engines at the scene and smoke from the blaze being smelled as far away as Hawarden.

The fire service was still at the scene this morning with five engines. A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 8.13pm last night to a fire at a caravan park. This morning we still have an aerial ladder platform unit, a water unit and three engines at the scene."
In an update today a fire service spokesperson said: "We’re in attendance at an incident on a caravan park in Queensferry, Flintshire having being called yesterday evening at 20.23hrs.
"Multiple appliances were called to the scene – firefighting has since scaled down but firefighters will remain at the incident for some time before an investigation into the cause will begin."
Nobody was injured in the incident.
