Piers Morgan has been hit with complaints after drinking beer on his early morning TV show.
The outspoken presenter, 55, sipped from a pint shortly before 7am on an episode of Good Morning Britain this week.
Morgan was thrilled after being surprised with the beverage during a segment about a brewery – even sharing pictures on Instagram of him clutching his pint.
“BOOM! First pint of Harvey’s in 4 months!” he wrote.
“Who cares it’s only 6.42am... and I’ve got 2 more hours of live TV.”
However, broadcasting watchdog Ofcom has confirmed that it has received eight complaints from viewers relating to Morgan’s early morning tipple.
Several people also posted messages about it on social media.
While many thought it was hilarious, calling Morgan “refreshing” and a “legend”, there were others who didn’t think the presenter should be drinking alcohol while he was on the job.

“Drinking beer while you are at work, you should be sacked,” said one person on Instagram.
“Thought it was gross misconduct to drink alcohol while at work,” said another person.
“I might get a job at #GMB, drinking alcohol while working is instant dismissal in every company I have ever worked in,” quipped another.
