Love him or loathe him, Piers Morgan will be co-hosting Good Morning Britain for quite a while to come after signing a new contract.

The divisive host has signed on the dotted line to present the ITV show until the end of 2021. So that's a whole lot more of Piers Morgan.

"I've just signed a new contract up for GMB until the end of next year. I love working with Susanna and the team – we're a Ying Yang that works," he told The Sun's TV Mag.

He did also note that some people might not be too happy with it, but as ever, Piers isn't bothered about what those people think.

"If my style upsets people, don't watch! Watch something else. Nobody's forcing anyone to watch it," he explained. "You've got a remote control in your hand, I really don't understand what the problem is."

However, due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Piers is actually being celebrated by the great British public for once.

He has been particularly hard on the government over their handling of testing and publishing of information.

Meanwhile, Piers' GMB co-host Kate Garraway has been staying strong after her husband Derek Draper was hospitalised with the virus at the end of March, and is still in a critical condition.

"Hope has to keep us all going doesn't it?" she wrote on Instagram. "I am having to find new ways of staying strong every day for Darcey and Billy, as I know Derek would want me to. It's not easy but when I think of how hard Derek is fighting and the bravery of all in the NHS it helps."

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV.
