Piers Morgan completely lost his temper with Michael Gove on Good Morning Britain today (June 19).
The presenter was questioning the Conservative MP about last week's tragedy at Grenfell Tower, which killed 58 people according to police – with that number expected to rise.
As the discussion got increasingly heated, the politician insisted he was "emotionally distraught" but stressed that the host had a responsibility to look "coolly" at the situation and not to allow his coverage to become "theatrical".
Unsurprisingly, Piers didn't take the comments very well and lashed out at the GMB guest.
"You can stick your coolness where the sun don't shine," the presenter snapped. "I don't feel cool about this.
"I feel very angry about these people and I feel angry about the other people who are now living in terror in other tower blocks, scared that this may happen to them."
Gove appeared to be in utter shock and attempted to give the host a telling off for his choice of words.
"Piers, I don't think language like that is appropriate on morning television," the politician hit back.
But the presenter didn't seem too bothered and flat out told Gove: "I don't care what you think."
He continued: "If you don't think I've got the right to feel emotional about this then I don't give a damn what you think. This is a total disgrace! I damn well want sprinkler systems put into tower blocks and I want it done immediately."
Keeping calm, Gove went on to say that he felt particularly affected by the tragedy because he knew and worked with people in the area that had been personally affected.
But when asked if installing sprinklers in tower blocks would now be a priority for the Government, he couldn't give a direct answer.
Instead, he replied: "I said it earlier and I'll say it again, this was an absolutely horrific event. I want to help people get justice and get answers. I feel as strongly as anybody else. We need to look at the detail and get the facts right."
@GMB when did this programme become the piers Morgan show? Very off putting.- David (@davidmc1701) June 19, 2017
Sorry think it's time to rename gmb the Piers Morgan Show. It's all about him. Wrong to be shouting it doesn't help anyone. It's bullying.- Clare Fenemer (@clare_fenemer) June 19, 2017

Well done Piers Morgan on GMB . His interview with Micheal Gove showed what a numpty back stabbing slimeball Gove really is . Excellent !- cybermarque (@Cybermarque) June 19, 2017
Those tuning in at home seemed divided over the pair's tense interview.
While some praised Piers for his determination to get answers, others felt his language was unnecessary.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: "GMB Piers Morgan needs to be removed from TV, for what he just said, 'stick it where the sun doesn't shine', really, good example."
On the contrary, another posted: "Never seen Mr Gove struggle so much in a interview. Well done Piers... asks the question no-one else is prepared to."
Good Morning Britain is on ITV, weekdays at 6am.
