Piers Morgan fuels Strictly Come Dancing rumours as he waltzes with Anton du Beke on Good Morning Britain

Piers Morgan has done nothing to dispel rumours that he’s set for a stint on Strictly Come Dancing after dancing around the Good Morning Britain studio with Anton du Beke.

The host was joined by the Strictly professional for a brief waltz as he discussed the possibility of appearing on the BBC ballroom show.

With both men sporting sparkly silver jackets, Morgan joked that the show’s infamous ‘curse’ had struck again.

After they had finished performing, he asked du Beke: “Does that mean we have to have a relationship like they do on the show?”

Du Beke responded: “Maybe just a cuddle?” as he and Morgan embraced.

The presenter joked: “The curse has struck and I haven’t even been on the show.”

Adding: “I’m ready for it Anton.”

Meanwhile, the pro dancer predicted: “I think you’ll get past week five, Blackpool for you.”

Speculation that Morgan is being lined up for a spot on Strictly started after he revealed he’d be willing to go on the show if his rival breakfast host Dan Walker also signed up.

Lord Sugar added fuel to the fire by tweeting that he’d make a large donation to charity to see Morgan on the show.

The business mogul tweeted: “I would pay £25k to charity to see this plonker in tight pants dancing and another £25k if he makes it past the first 5 weeks @piersmorgan he is as agile as a pregnant donkey.”

Good Morning Britain continues weekdays at 6am on ITV.
