Piers Morgan gets pie thrown in his face by Harry Hill live on air as comedian stands up for 'all men who wear papooses'

Harry Hill threw a cream pie in Piers Morgan’s face live on air as the comedian vowed to take revenge “for the men in papooses”.

Over the past few days, Good Morning Britain host Morgan has aired his controversial views on fathers wearing their children in papooses, branding them “emasculating”.

His views have come under fire from Hollywood A-Listers including Chris Evans, especially after Morgan took aim at James Bond star Daniel Craig for using one .

Keen to ensure payback on behalf of papoose fans, comedian Hill used the closing moments of his interview to throw his “personalised” shaving foam pie in Morgan’s face, catching him completely off-guard.

When a speechless Morgan finally spoke, he chose to shove the pie he had made in co-star Susanna Reid’s face before taking his own revenge on Hill.

The broadcaster then signed off from the show for two-and-a-half-weeks, with Reid joking that she “gets a break”.

GMB viewers were behind Hill all the way, quickly commenting on the “hilarious” ending on social media.

Several fans said they had been “crying with laughter” while others hailed the interview for “making their morning”.

Earlier in the show, Ross Kemp wade in on the debate Morgan’s comments have sparked, becoming the latest celebrity to stand up for the carrying method.

He said: “If I fall over now I have two hands to protect the child. If I have to carry the shopping, I can carry the bag in one hand, walk the dog or open the car door.

“It’s really good for babies. It’s good for their digestive system… it’s bonding with my baby. It makes you more of a man because it shows you care.”
