Piers Morgan is furious about the latest episodes of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's documentary series, accusing Harry of carrying out "a grotesque and sickening betrayal of his family".

The couple debuted the second half of their Netflix series Harry & Meghan on Thursday, which delved into their reasons for stepping down from their duties as part of the Royal Family.

Morgan, who has frequently been critical of the couple, reacted to the latest set of revelations in a message to his eight million followers on Twitter.

He wrote: "Prince Harry publicly trashing his brother William, branding his father King Charles a liar, and attacking his grandmother the late Queen for doing nothing. This is such a grotesque and sickening betrayal of his family."

Among the most shocking claims featured in the new episodes is Harry suggesting that Meghan had a miscarriage due to reporting by the Daily Mail around private letters between her and her father.

Meghan subsequently won a privacy case against Associated Newspapers in 2021, receiving a nominal £1 in damages and an undisclosed fee for breach of copyright, which she said would go to charity.

In the documentary, Harry also claims that he witnessed his brother, Prince William, "scream and shout" at him during the family meeting that would determine his future role within the Royal Family.

Morgan has repeatedly given short shrift to the Sussex's claims, both on social media and on his Talk TV show Piers Morgan Uncensored.

Earlier this week, he responded to the trailer for the second part of the Harry & Meghan series by publicly calling on King Charles to strip the couple of their remaining royal titles.

Morgan even revealed that he forgot to post a "happy birthday" message to his wife on social media because he was so devoted to tweeting about the Sussexes.

Morgan's antipathy towards Markle has existed for years and it was during a row about her interview with Oprah Winfrey that he walked out of Good Morning Britain, subsequently leaving the show for good.

The presenter and Markle had briefly met in 2016, shortly before her first meeting with Harry.
