Good Morning Britain co-host Piers Morgan was not a happy bunny after failing to win the award for Best Daytime Show at the National Television Awards on Tuesday (January 22).

Morgan lost against This Morning's Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby and, naturally, he couldn't help but tweet about it.

However, Morgan decided not to take it too seriously and just laughed it off, writing: "That moment when you lose at the NTAs and your own co-workers find it funny."

At least he got some love from his followers. Well, some of them.

Earlier today, Piers picked up on the fact that duo And & Dec had been awarded Best TV Presenters for 17 years in a row. (Erm, it's now 18!)

Speaking to his co-host Susanna Reid, Morgan said at the time: "Imagine if Ant McPartlin actually wins tonight and we don't.

"Walking the dog for a year, television personality of the year. Me. Coalface. Every morning, hours on end, week after week. Nothing. Not a dickie bird."

He continued: "Imagine, Britain, if you think that is a reasonable way to conduct the awards season business. If it is, I'm taking next year off, I'm going to walk my dog. I don't even have a dog, but if I did have a dog, I would take it for a long walk everyday in the expectation the British public would then vote for me, as presenter of the year, for dog walking."

Digital Spy has got you covered for everything NTAs, from a live blog detailing all the biggest moments from the show, to a collection of all the red carpet looks, and a list of all the winners that will be updated as they are announced.
