Piers Morgan shares rare photo of mum on birthday as fans floored by her real age

Piers Morgan has left his followers gobsmacked with a nostalgic snap of his mum to celebrate her landmark 80th birthday. The 59 year old broadcaster, who hosts his own chat show ' Piers Morgan Uncensored' on YouTube, shared a rare monochrome photo of his mother Gabrielle Georgina Sybille from her younger days, lovingly holding a baby Piers aloft.

The edited image also featured a more recent picture of the duo in a heart shape, both grinning at the camera. Piers honoured his devoted mother with a touching message, writing: "Happy 80th birthday to my fabulous mother.

"My biggest and most loyal supporter, my most astute critic, and my greatest inspiration and role model. Quite simply, the finest and most selfless person I have ever known."

His followers were stunned by his mum's youthful looks. ITV chat show host Lorraine Kelly wrote: "Thought she was your sister! Gorgeous woman - have a great day."

Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway said: "She’s gorgeous ! Happy birthday mamma morgan." One fan commented: "Lovely photos of a lovely looking mum."

And another added: "I remember your mum from Newick days in the 80s? She still looks fabulous."

The TV personality was born in March 1965 in Surrey to his father Vincent Eamonn O'Mear and mother Gabrielle Georgina Sybille and has three siblings - his two brothers Rupert and Jeremy, and his sister Charlotte.

Piers' father tragically passed away when he was only 11 months old, with his mum later marrying Glynne Pughe-Morgan.

Piers married Celia Walden in 2010 and they share a daughter, Elise. He also has three sons from his former marriage to Marion Shalloe.
