Piers Morgan has hit back at his own Good Morning Britain replacement host in yet another Twitter outburst.
The GMB presenter is no stranger to feuds with his fellow telly hosts, having infamously mixed it up with BBC Breakfast rival Dan Walker and even beloved TV duo Ant and Dec. (Seriously, who would bully Ant and Dec?!)
His latest target is one of his own co-workers, and he's definitely not holding back. Piers got mad after Adil Ray made light of filling in for him on GMB while appearing on Have I Got News For You.
Adil technically fired the first shot by joking that the best part of replacing Piers on Good Morning Britain is that "you don't have to meet Piers Morgan". Slightly shady, but light-hearted, right?
Piers didn't find it funny, going much harsher on Twitter by claiming that Adil was actually hurting the show's ratings.
"For my part, the best thing about Adil filling in for me is he always tanks the ratings," Piers snapped back.
That was a bit harsh, no? Thus far, Adil has not responded to his co-worker's blatant attempt to goad him into a Twitter war.
We imagine Piers and Adil's co-presenter Susanna Reid sighing after reading the rude tweet, since she'd just thumped both Piers and Dan Walker for their public slanging match.
"The way they snipe at each other on Twitter makes me shudder," she complained in a recent column. "I would never speak about a colleague like that."
Good Morning Britain continues airing weekdays from 6am over on ITV. Probably now with added discomfort in the studio.
