Yahoo News Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid announce new Good Morning Britain break for half-term
Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid are taking another break from Good Morning Britain.
The duo shared with viewers during Wednesday's (October 14) instalment of the ITV breakfast show that they will be off screens for two weeks beginning this Monday (October 19).
"We've got half term off, really exciting, I'm going to move from the sofa downstairs to upstairs for my holiday," Piers announced.
Susanna then referenced the recent COVID-19 lockdown strategy by joking: "You get a two-week circuit breaker from us."
The duo will be back on screens beginning the week of Monday, November 2 — for a full five-day schedule, despite usually sitting out on Fridays.
"The good news is, because I know you'll be missing us, we'll be back for the US election week, and we'll be there all week, all five days," Piers noted.
Susanna was quick to correct him: "When you say 'there', we're not going to be there, we're going to be very much here."
The GMB host was making another humorous reference to travel guidance introduced by the PM in an attempt to slow surging COVID-19 infections in the UK.

The pair only recently returned from their last hiatus in September, having taken some time away from Good Morning Britain over the summer.
Piers and Susanna's summer break from GMB allowed their colleague Kate Garraway to return to screens for the first time since her husband Derek Draper was diagnosed with COVID-19.
Garraway subsequently stepped away from GMB once again in September, but was back on screens earlier in October to deliver a powerful plea for viewers to follow health guidelines.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
