Former One Direction singer Styles arrived at the event, themed around the word ‘camp’, wearing a see-through blouse and high heels, as well as a single earring.
Morgan said: “Ooh, have we got Harry in a blouse? Is he identifying as metrosexual these days?
"I mean, we shouldn't make this sexist. It can be camp but it can also be ridiculous."
Viewers criticised Morgan’s rant on Twitter, defending Styles’s “slightly feminised” outfit, while others praised him for his viewpoint.

The 54-year-old had already taken swipes at many of the other celebrities to walk the red carpet, after referring to the Met Gala as his "favourite event of the year".
He said: "This is when every big star in the world reveals what they're really like, which is really nuts - a night full of loonies."

The Met Gala is one of the most exclusive social events on the New York City calendar, organised by the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute to mark the opening of their annual fashion exhibit.
Tables at the invitation-only event can cost up to £230,000.

Morgan said model Emily Ratajkowski's look on the red carpet was "preposterous", while also delivering a barbed critique of Kim Kardashian's figure-hugging nude dress.
He said: "I thought Kim Kardashian was brilliant. She came as a large see-through spank. What are they called? Spanks. I mean look at that.
"Kanye can't even look up. He's like, 'put something on love'. I'm not being funny, what's camp about that?"
