Yahoo News Piers tries to humiliate sister of Love Island's Amber
Piers Morgan has been criticised following a typically combative interview on Good Morning Britain today (July 25).
Jade Davies, the sister of Love Island winner Amber Davies, appeared on the show to talk about her sister's success after scooping the £50,000 cash prize with boyfriend Kem Cetinay.
However, she instead found herself being grilled and interrogated about her sibling's decision to have sex on the show.
"Watching your sister romping on national TV, doesn't that make your skin crawl?" asked Piers.
"Do you think romping on national TV will help her career? What does your father have to say about all of this?"
At times, Jade appeared to look uncomfortable with the tough line of questioning but she kept her composure and gave her answers calmly.
She said: "My father supports her 100%. If that is what she wants to do then he supports her. I think everyone is different and this is what Amber wanted to do.
"I can't wait to see my sister and meet Kem and tell him I approve. He's such a charming gentleman and he treats her with so much respect.
"They won the show because they were the most genuine couple on the villa. They are 100% going to last. You know as much as I do right now, but I have never seen Amber so smitten with a guy – and he seems completely smitten with her as well."
Viewers tuning in at home praised Jade following Piers' aggressive line of questioning.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: "get him off #GMB horrendous interview, shows himself as a absolute idiot! Don't watch love island but that was disgusting! #VileMan."
Another then tweeted: "How rude was #piersmorgan to amber's sister how can @GMB left him get away with it @ITV needs to do something about him 😡."
Moments later, a different viewer posted: "@piersmorgan completely out of order with the interview with amber's sister✋🏼."
Shortly afterwards, a fourth added: "Gotta love Jade, Ambers sister for the way she handled @piersmorgan @GMB this morning . Pure class and grace."
