Pilot Rescued Following Fatal Plane Crash in Washington State

One person was rescued and one found dead following a plane crash in Gifford Pinchot National Forest in Washington on Friday, September 6, according to Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).

At approximately 3 pm on Friday, WSDOT was notified that an aircraft did not arrive at its intended destination of Hood River, Oregon. The biplane was reported missing by the pilots of the other two planes in its three-plane flying formation.
