Pilot Rescued by LAPD Seconds Before Train Smashes Through Plane

Officers in Los Angeles pulled a pilot from a plane that had crashed on to train tracks near Whiteman Airport in Pacoima just moments before it collided with on oncoming train on January 9.

Footage released by the LAPD shows the bloodied man being dragged from a small aircraft on San Fernando Road and Osborne Street seconds before it’s hit by a train.

In a Tweet police said the foothill division officers displayed “heroism and quick action” by saving the pilot’s life.
